How to Use & Care

This clay arrives ready to use—no mixing or conditioning needed. Just start shaping. It's forgiving enough for beginners but responsive enough for advanced work. Keep your unused clay wrapped tightly in plastic to prevent it from drying out. Once you've finished a piece, let it dry slowly in a cool space away from direct heat—quick drying causes cracking. When you're ready, fire it at Cone 06-04 temperature. The iron content in the clay creates that beautiful warm color during firing. After firing, your finished pieces are durable and can be glazed further if you'd like to add color and surface interest.
